The following rules apply to the Summer Singles, Summer Foursomes, Club Championship and “B” Championship.
Winter Greensome Rules – 2009/10
Preliminary rounds will be played on a pool basis. Pool A has 4 teams, Pools B and C have 5 teams.
Each team must play the other three or four teams in the pool by 28th February 2010
Both teams are equally responsible for arranging the match.
Teams will be awarded 2 points for a win and 1 point for a halved match.
Any match not completed by 28th February will be deemed a halved match.
Strokes will be awarded on the basis of half the combined handicaps of a team.
Games should be played to the 18 th hole, and the result shown as “holes up” or “holes down” at the 18 th.
Teams must use a minimum of 6 tee shots from each player over the 18 holes.
in case of a points tie in any pool, the team with the most “holes up” over the pool games will be deemed the winner.
When the pools have been completed, the three pool winners and the highest placed runner-up will go into a draw. Pool C teams will have “holes up” reduced by 25 % as they will have played an extra match.
Semi-finals will be played by 31st March. A final will be played by 30th April.
Home course advantage in the pools has already been decided by draw. A future draw will decide home advantage in the semi-finals and finals.
It is suggested that green fees should be split between all players.
** NB THE INTENTION IS TO HAVE TIES PLAYED WHEREVER POSSIBLE – NOT TO HAVE WALKOVERS
