AGM

The annual general meeting of the club will be held on Monday the 16th of January 2012, in the staff room (formally the refectory) at 7.30pm. Traditionally the informal part of the evening will continue in The Doctors afterwords, when the captain will stand the members attending a drink.

Spring Meeting

This year our first outing will take place at Goswick on Sunday the 22nd of April. As usual there will be two rounds with the morning round the medal and qualifying for the A&B championships and the afternoon likely to feature the always popular pink ball team game involving the infamous pink "lady girl" balls.

Social Golfing Get Togethers

The first midweek social outing this year will again held at the Burgess in June with the second possibly down the coast in September. The format is a round in the morning followed by lunch in the clubhouse, with the day being hosted by members at the club thus enabling guest rates to apply on the day. We would like to encourage as many members as possible to come along and anyone who would like to host an event at their club next year please let Graeme Boon know. This year we hope to continue these games throughout the winter in East Lothian and we'll have dates soon.

Summer Meeting

Thursday the 12th of July will be this year's date with destiny at Muirfield. As an alternative the coveted Ronnie Middleton trophy will be played over Gullane 3, with both groups will meeting for dinner in the members clubhouse at Gullane.

Musselburgh Evening

Friday the 8th of June will be the date this year for the seventh summer challenge over the Old Links at Musselburgh Racecourse where a limit of six clubs and the use of old hickory clubs at certain holes added to the fun, guests, partners and pets are all welcome. The prizes will be presented after a meal in the historic clubhouse, which once played host to the Burgess, Bruntsfield and the Honourable Company as well as a few more clubs, who all played there.

Autumn Outing

Muckhart will this year host our Autumn Outing on Friday the 17th of September.

Winter Greensomes

The draw and pool matches for the 2011/2012 competition is posted on the site. Members from the toon are paired up with members from the more "winter friendly" coast courses enabling Heriot golf to continue throughout the year.

Annual Dinner

The Annual Dinner was held at Goldenacre on Friday 14th October, when the principal speaker John Htet Khin toasted the club making his first Heriot appearance in 18 years. The evening was run with a rod of iron by the captain Colin Dempster who set the vice captain Ian Thomson to work toasting the guests as well as co hosting the prizegiving and running the raffle. As usual the bar facilities were well used by the well refreshed members and their guests.

The club had an unusually successful match season last year which has so far continued. all members regardless of handicap are welcome to play in these matches, which are always good fun.
