Spring Meeting

This year we start the season in Perthshire, with a visit to Auchterader, a classic layout which some claim to be superior to it's neighbour Gleneagles. As usual the best 8 scratch scores in each division will decide the qualifiers for the A and B championships.

Summer Meeting

As usual there is the opportunity to test your mettle against Muirfield and find out at first hand what the players in the open will encounter in july 2013, or for the less confident and those looking at a new challenge Gullane no3 over which the Ronnie Middleton trophy is played for is an altrnative. After the success of the last few years both groups will meet for dinner in the clubhouse at Gullane.

Musselburgh Evening

Around a dozen members and guests took part in the Summer Challenge last year and had a great time over the Old Links at Musselburgh Racecourse which will be repeated on Friday 10th of June, based around a six club competition. Old hickory drivers also have to be used at certain holes and an excellent supper will be provided in the clubhouse, partners and pets are encouraged but not compulsory.

Autumn Meeting

This year the Autumn meeting takes the shape of a tour. The plan is to play Powfoot on the Friday, Southerness on the saturday which will be the autumn medal round, Dumriess & County on the Saturday afternoon with Thornhill on the Sunday.

Queen Elizabeth Coronation Schools Trophy

The QE is takes place over the weekend the 25th to the 27th of September over the Royal Burgess' course at Barnton. The Heriots team last year failed in their defence of the trophy, narrowly losing to Watsons on the Sunday morning.

Heriot's FP Golf Club V Borders Heriot Club

The Borders match will this year be played over the Hirsal, hopefully there will be no repeat victory for the Borders, following their unexpected triumph at home two years ago.

Grafton Morrish Trophy

The Grafton Morrish takes place over the weekend of the 7th to 9th of September a little further south at Hunstanton and Brancaster in Norfolk. Heriots have an outstanding record there and are the current holders of the beautiful trophy, for the fifth time in the last twenty years . Qualifyng is on the 6th of May at the Burgess this year, when the boys will doubtless appreciate any support the less gifted can give them.

The guys make a great commitment and effort for the club, not only travelling a long way but taking time off work.

Annual Dinner

The Annual Dinner will be held at Goldenacre on Friday 7th October this year.
